The DeKalb County HIDTA Task Force (DCTF) is a comingled task force consisting of federal and local law enforcement agencies encompassing DeKalb County, a suburban county of Atlanta, Georgia. The DCTF focuses investigative activities on poly-drug trafficking organizations in suburban areas east of the city of Atlanta, with emphasis on DeKalb County. Primarily attacks mid-level, violent, drug trafficking organizations. Maintains cooperative enforcement with surrounding counties and cities to serve as a force multiplier.
In particular, these efforts are regularly with federal supervised HIDTA initiatives led by DEA, HSI, and the FBI. Works directly with the DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office, and occasionally the United States Attorney’s Office to allow for timely and efficient prosecutions of their investigative efforts.
